This beautiful
town was named after Rudolph Kremmling, who was a businessman that
opened a trading post in 1884 on the north side of Muddy Creek.
Pioneers would frequently stop here for supplies when traveling,
and many decided to remain in the area to live. By 1904, 140 people
lived in the area and the town boasted all of 30 landowners!

In celebration
of the incoming railroads, the townspeople held a free fish fry
and publicly read aloud the Declaration of Independence.
By 1912, the
town was hosting its first fair. The fair, which was organized by
W.H. Harrison, was called the Middle Park Fair.
Today, Kremmling,
Colorado is still home to a number of fairs and many other exciting
